These beautiful people used to be my neighbors in Northwest Arkansas. Their first-born and my third-born are just 4 days apart. I love having these types of obvious connections with my clients - I think it allows for everyone to open up more and feel more free during a session - which also means I have to do very little directing (which I prefer). I simply observe and capture all the glorious, natural-ness of their being and their interactions with each other. This session is definitely one for the books. So, soooo gorgeous.
Sidenote: to all the mamas wondering the best time to shoot maternity photos - I say there isn’t a wrong time. I get people not wanting to be past a certain amount of weeks often and it’s mostly because they are worried about being “too big". We did this session on a Sunday evening, and she had her scheduled c-section the following Wednesday. The only reason I say by 37-38 weeks is to make sure you don’t have a baby before the session date.
