I really loved this lifestyle session in NWA and I love this family. I’ve photographed them over the past few years and they are always so much fun.
Biggest advice I can offer for a family session is to let your kids be, and know I will always follow their lead. I know that can be hard. A lot of parents worry about their kids acting up or not respecting me and in most cases, I’d say do what you need to do to parent or discipline. But with family photo day, it’s just one hour, let them be. If they misbehave, I promise you it’s nothing I haven’t seen before with every other family, child and even what my own kids do when we are having our family photos. I’m not here to judge what your kids do or won’t do. But I can honestly say that if you just let go of that fear of them misbehaving, they’ll be happier, the session will run smoother and you’ll be more relaxed, which means more authentic images.
