My name is Jara (sounds like Sara with a “J”) and I am a wife and devoted mother of three kiddos; one who is autistic, so I tend to speak up and have a very soft heart for those who don’t fit into society’s little box of expectations. I am an introvert (who isn’t too socially awkward), I seek depth in every person I meet - and I tend to develop connections and friendships with the clients I am lucky enough to be able to work with. I am a libra, an enneagram 9, a Manifestor with a 2/5 profile and a HSP (highly sensitive person) - mostly to light - so maybe that’s why I ended up in photography. I’m compassionate with a dry sense of humor and I love the outdoors.
I am also a professional Lifestyle and Documentary digital and film photographer in Fayetteville, AR. I find beauty in ordinary details and moments and I strive to capture this for you in an artful, meaningful way to deliver honest, high-quality photographs that help tell your unique story. I want to capture for you what it actually felt like in the most authentic way, so that when you look at your photos, you can truly remember what it was like. I am not here for perfect and over-done and I believe true beauty lies within what is real.
I am always incredibly grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion and be trusted with the honor of you sharing a piece of your authentic self with me, as I share my vulnerability (my art) with you.
When I’m not trying to talk philosophically about life, chasing sunsets or clicking a shutter button, you can find me camping and hanging by a river with my family or enjoying long dinners with good friends.
